I have a ton to do today and absolutely no "get-up-and-go." I just started the dishwasher, our bed is made, but I need to do a major run-through of the whole house, tidy up, Swiffer floors, etc. I have 2 extra kids for the afternoon. Not normally a big deal, but let's just say these boys are a challenge.
The game last night was fun. It was nice and cool in SF, and the park is AWESOME. I say this having only been in one other major league stadium, the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The Dome sucks. I have always thought this but since I had no other experience to base my opinion on it went unsaid. Now I know -- the Dome sucks. My biggest objection to the Dome is the steep stairs -- they are narrow (so narrow my heel hangs over the edge of each stair as I climb it) and VERY steep. I am in constant fear of falling when I am on those stairs. And the chairs are uncomfortable. In SBC Park these problems are nonexistent.
And can I just add that I think it's cute that grown men in sport coats turn into 8-year-old boys when a fly ball comes their way? The guy in front of us had his glove out, ready to go -- so funny. Of course if I was dating said funny guy he would have been toast at that moment. Anybody that fixated on sports is SOOOO not gonna make it around me.
We left at the end of the 5th inning and all 3 kids were asleep long before we got home. Their tummies were full of Kettle Corn and all was right with the world. Nice.
PS -- I have no idea who won. Isn't that funny?
