I just have to say this:
hundreds of thousands of people are living in devastation and horror. They have lost their homes, their belongings, and all hope for the future.
I know that everything will be okay, but I also know what it takes to rebuild.
These people need EVERYTHING. More than anything else, they need HOPE.
Where on god's green earth is the President? He should BE there. He should have already addressed the nation, outlining a plan for disaster relief. he should be in the middle of it, letting people know they are not forgotten.
It must be so lonely and frightening sitting in that miserable Superdome right now. No news, no way to contact your family, no running water ... not fun.
Do ya think the Prez could have given up a day or two of vacation in the lap of Texas luxury and gone to Louisiana or Mississippi?
Priorities, people. He works hard. He NEEDS a vacation.
I'll give him a permanent vacation -- in fact, I tried, last fall. Damn.
George -- if you're reading this, DO SOMETHING. (For god's sake, call your dad and Bill Clinton. They know something about disaster relief.)

I think he is in your state. Track him down, girlfriend! And when you find him and get him on disaster relief, ask him why I am paying over $3 for a gallon of gas. We are in Iraq, can't we hook up a hose or something????????
