Anyway, you MUST check this woman's blog out. OMG, she has the BEST banner I have EVER seen (may be offensive to some...), and she is tremendously smart, witty, and, let's just say, left-leaning. LOL
She has some great quotes from our addled, ineffective, unsympathetic, idiot-in-chief juxtaposed with some from the Mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin, who is tellin' it like it is ... you go, Mayor Nagin!!!
She also reports that Trent Lott lost his house. Forgive me for being unsympathetic, but I'm thinkin' since he must have homes in DC and elsewhere, he's gonna be okay. I'm worried about all those who lost the only home they had.
I am not that religious (a survey I recently filled out for church listed me as a "hopeful agnostic"), but I am praying and we will donate to the Red Cross.
One small note of hope for me in my own home: my 8 year old has gone to the Principal of his school to find out if they can do a fundraiser for those who are dealing with the aftermath of Katrina. I was overwhelmed with pride when he told me. Apparently, kids DO listen periodically. Go figure.
