Yes, that's from a movie. Tell me which one and you'll get -- well, you'll get the supreme personal satisfaction of having known the answer, Isn't that enough?
So this is once again a manic week at our house. I'm not complaining, just telling you that blogging will be low on the list of priorities so I am making this entry to alleviate blog-guilt.
So, set-up for the Art Show at school is today. Tonight Garrett has a baseball game. Tomorrow is the Art Show, which requires a family visit to the school to eat cookies and exclaim over pieces of art made by kids ranging from incredibly talented to, "What is that white lump of Crayola Model Magic supposed to be?" -- Hey, it takes all kinds, right?
Garrett has a book report due this week. He has known about it for 3 weeks and i have declared that I am done nagging him about it. He doesn't do it, he suffers the consequences. I'm just done with dealing with it.
I am trying to finish my mother-in-law's scrapbook of her vacation here in February so I can get it in the mail and thus alleviate more guilt in my life.
Wednesday we have the joy and personal satisfaction of taking down the exhibits in the Art Show.
Plus I have to put the elastic in a sewing project and hem a pair of slacks for my cute but on the short side husband. Ugh. We all know how I am lately with the sewing. Not so much.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday there is the usual mix of baseball practice, baseball games, socialization with friends who have kids (not for the grown-ups, no, it's because it's good for the children), church activities, and general "at-home-on-the-weekend" family time.
So, I am certain I am not the only one with a busy week and I thank you for dropping in to read this. I will try to pop in and update -- no promises, though.
Have a good week!

ReplyDeleteFerris Beuller's Day Off.
ReplyDeleteAlso--- to alleviate feelings of guilt - practice this word, "no."
As in, "Jennifer would you like to volunteer to do X?" Your answer would then be, "no." Aren't you feeling better alreay?
In case you haven't noticed - I can't spell.
