These are 2 1966 Ford Fairlanes. The burgundy one is my dad's. He got it new and my brother and I both came home from the hospital in it. (I think he's kept it all these years because he knows it'll increase in value once I get famous. It's only a matter of time.) The blue one is my little brother's. Dad bought it used off a little old lady who had used one side of it as a guide to get into her garage. He paid 100 bucks for it and we found 55 cents under the back seat, so it was pretty cheap -- until my brother started fixing it up. I drove it (reluctantly) in high school before Brad got it, but as far as I was concerned the only good thing about it was the 289 V-8 that kicked ass. It has a 351 Cleveland in it now (apparently the 289 was too small and wimpy for my brother).

This is Dad's current pride & joy -- a 1929 Model A Roadster. He got this before I was born (1970) and I always said I would ride in it on my wedding day. Two problems with that: one, I got married in North Dakota in February (I advise against this, if you're wondering); and two, it wasn't done yet. In 1996. LOL But it was worth the wait, as you can see. It's really a fun car. I've even driven it -- very fast, too. Love it. My kids and the nephews call it Papa's Hot Rod -- and they all love it as much as he does.

I have tried multiple times to upload a photo of my mom's baby -- a 1966 Ford Fairlane (do you see a pattern here?) convertible. This is one Suh-WEET ride! It's a gorgeous jade green with a white interior and it rocks. I love it -- but Blogger keeps throwing the color off so I'm gonna search the 'puter later for one that loads properly and does it justice. It really is a VERY impressive piece of automotive restoration. My dad is truly a genius when it comes to this stuff.
Now, if I could just get him to paint the Deuce pink .... here's a view of my suggested color. Think he'll take my advice?

Very cool. I like the pink but I doubt he will use that color. :)
