Evan had his first practice on Saturday. The field was so wet they had to be on the blacktop and some of the daddies who stepped onto the field ended up with soaked shoes and socks and even waterlogged hems on jeans. We are *tired* of rain out here. The reservoirs are so full now that we could have years worth of drought and not be in danger of running out of water. This is not good. But practice was good -- the kids had a good time. The team is the Marlins and they should have their jerseys back soon. We had them sent out to get their names on them. First game is April 22.

Garrett had a good game Sunday -- he got a couple of outs and (of course) hit the ball like a champ. I tried to get a shot of him crossing home plate but my camera is too slow. (Taking donations for a Canon Digi Rebel, hint hint). So this is him as catcher, with his game face on.

My friend Vivian started her own blog. I'll wait to link it until I know it's okay with her, but I wanted to thank her for some nice comments she made about this blog. I find it so cool (and a little odd) that my life seems to be interesting to people. Honestly, it's just life, and each of us has our own unique spin on things. I hope you enjoy life in the Blogosphere, Vivian. I know it's been *more* in every way than I imagined it would be.
This week: refinishing my dresser - a scrapping day with my friend Sandi - menu planning and grocery shopping (I feel like Old Mother Hubbard) - more baseball - possibly some sewing - and today, laundry. I hate putting away laundry. It's my least favorite chore. Anybody wanna help?
Off to put the Astros uniform in the wash so it's ready for Thursday's game.
I like the pix. Especially the first one with just the bats. Very artsy fartsy (thats a compliment!)
ReplyDeleteYes, please feel free to link it, though some of the stuffs might not make sense to most people. Once I figure out how to add links to my blog, I'll link yours as well.
ReplyDeleteMichael is a catcher too and the Braves this year. I went to a MLB Astros game last week and it was a good time. I hope the boys do well and have a ton of fun.
