Finally -- a much-anticipated photo of the dresser. The kick plate piece is still not attached (leaving that to handsome tool man who will be home later), but at least the finishing is done. Right now there are brass knobs & handles on it -- they were cheap and look better than the originals, which were tarnished beyond repair. I think I'll be getting some in a brushed nickel, but I'm waiting until we get back into the Minnesota house before I make any final decisions.
I also did not refinish the mirror -- it's one of those '50s style beveled glass ones with no frame -- just a base piece for support and vertical supports behind. The glass is showing its age and I've decided I'll be getting a new mirror that will just hang on the wall -- again, I won't make that decision until we're in our "new" room in the old house.
There you have it -- now I am off to list a few things on eBay and put laundry away.
