Here we go ....

Plans and preparations for the move are underway -- Rob & the kids are leaving Saturday and driving back to our hometown so he can drop the kids for fun with the grandmas and Papa. he'll then drive to meet me and we'll get started on the house before the furniture arrives.

I'll fly out either Tuesday or Wednesday depending on when I get all the cleaning done and when the carpets get cleaned. Still working on scheduling everything.

Errands to run today -- got a trailer hitch installed on the van so we can tow back Rob's "new" vehicle. (Details later). Going to get new drip pans for the stove burners at the dollar store, and possibly some cheap boogie boards to use as bulletin boards in the boys' new surf bedroom.

We're also going to pack all of the framed pieces in Rob's office and bring them home so we know they'll be transported safely.

Also, (of course) doing laundry, laundry, laundry. The neverending task for a mom, it seems. Trying to get things in order so my kids have clothes and jammies when they are visiting our folks.

Yesterday was a day of many goodbyes, so it was long and tiring. We attended a couple of BBQs and had fun. Our friends Nicole and Matt just fulfilled a longstanding dream and bought a *gorgeous* huge home in the mountains between Los Gatos & Santa Cruz. A beautiful 2 1/2 acre lot and views of the coast on clear days -- it really is lovely. We are so happy for them.

Okay, I'm sorry this is so boring but life is just moving quickly. Computer gets unhooked Friday and I have no idea when/how often I'll be able to get on after that until the household goods are delivered, so I will try to add one last entry with some details before we're gone.

Wish us luck!

Laundry is like God's love for us; it's always there, it never ends.

Good luck and make sure you empty out any potties.
