When I said I hoped to post pictures of my room by the end of the week I was forgetting that my kids are out of school tomorrow and Friday.
And I didn't count on today (in which I got very little accomplished but the sweetest baby girl you can imagine was born and I got to hold her).
But tomorrow's another day and I have great plans. The headboard has 2 coats of cocoa brown on it (and will need more ... those dark colors are awful as far as coverage goes) and I hope to get more coats done between my goals for the next 2 days.
Those goals are:
get to my friend's house and clean as part of her baby gift (always nice to come home to a shiny house)
bake with the kids (cookies, maybe?) and take them to the Ronald McDonald house
bake pumpkin pies (Evan has been begging)
make crafts with Perler Beads
finish the palm tree painting for the boys' room
get some selfish me-time scrapbooking done
We shall see. Wish me luck! If all goes well, a photo on Friday.
I'm intrigued, what type of cleaning will you be doing at your friend's house??
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how I'd feel about that personally if someone did that for me...both happy that I don't have to do it, but at the same time I'd be thinking "what's wrong with how I left the house???" and I'd be paranoid about things I had left around the house. Not that it would be anything too startling, but besides my public blog, I'm really a pretty private person.
Good luck on your "to do" list. You have great ambitions. I'm usually just happy I have clean clothes for the hubby and kids. Me, not always, but most of the time!
I'm not having a baby, but...would you come and clean my house? :)
ReplyDelete(I'll take a pumpkin pie too!)
