Today is my dad's 60th birthday. How cute is that little guy? Seriously.
And here he is, one of my favorite pics of him, at Point Lobos in California in 2004.
And last, as "Papa Dave." Possibly his best role to date. He is a great Papa to my kiddos -- and since their other Papa is gone, it's a big responsibility. My kids LOVE their Papa -- they can't wait to see him on Friday. Here are all of them when we surprised him at his retirement party. Man, was that a fun day.
Happy birthday, Dad. I have a gift in the works for you, but it won't be done when we get up there. I promise it will be worth the wait, though. I love you!
