Happy Birthday Evan!

To my beautiful boy -- you are such a joy. A kind, compassionate, empathic soul, tenderhearted and affectionate, you are always concerned with how others feel. You feel so deeply that I worry about those first loves and the heartbreak that goes with them. How will I help you through that? You enjoy all of the things any 8 year old boy does -- cars, trucks, motorcycles, sports, Dav Pilkey books, and your brothers. You are artistic, smart and sensitive, you are the best-dressed boy in the second grade, you're a good dancer and baseball player ... in short, you are wonderful. I am so lucky to be your mama and to have you around when I need a snuggle. Happy birthday, my sweet boy. I love you so.
