So I mentioned that Rob and I would be doing some shopping on Saturday. What I didn't say was that it was for a camper. We have talked about it for years and this year we decided it was time. Here are all of my boys and the dog in front of it.
The bed on the end is a queen and the couch on the left folds down into a bed, kind of like a futon.
This end has a U-shaped seating area with a table that folds down into a bed. The end bed on this side is a King size.
This is the cushion out of the camper (in fluorescent light). I was trying to get a picture with true color. The upholstery in this will not win any design awards, but it is okay.
The stove can be used indoors or moved outside and hooked to the side of the camper. It is a used 2003 Palomino and came with an awning and a screen room. It also has air conditioning. Camping -- ha!
My mom and dad had a Palomino while I was growing up. In the later years they got a Porta-Potti. I thought they sold it with the camper, but it is our good fortune that they had kept it. Now it will be mine, and nighttime visits to the restroom with a flashlight will be unnecessary. Woo hoo!
I took all 7 of the cousins out today and we went to Michaels for some craft supplies, Old Navy to satisfy my niece's shopping urge, Bed Bath & Beyond to find sheets for the camper (no more sleeping bags for me, peeps), and the Dollar Tree for more camping supplies.
We pick it up Thursday morning and we have a 2 hour training session at that time to learn how to set it up and take it down. We will take it out for its first run Friday.
I am so excited!
Oh my gosh!!! How exciting! Especially about the AC! WOO HOO!!!
ReplyDeleteAh, the memories!
ReplyDeleteWe had a camper similar to that when I was a kid, and we hope to get one when the kids are little older and the cash flows a little easier....
A few photos from the maiden trip would be cool to see!
Very cool. Michael wants me to get one...I think it is a little much for just the two of us though.
ReplyDeleteYour fabric is pretty close to mine...hides spilled hot chocolate well, trust me! :)
ReplyDeleteTeresa, there are some really dinky campers out there...can be pulled by a car even, then it wouldn't be so much for 2.
Hope the trip is going well! And that we get to camp with you once we figure out our lives!
