I did a little recording so you can hear how the concert went. (No, it's not a recording at the concert... sorry). It is a recording of my voice, post-concert. I thought you might be amused by this. Or, rather, I was amused by this. Until I started to try to add one tiny little mp3 file to my blog. The trouble with all of the "how-to" instructions out there is that they assume I have basic knowledge of the process. Where are the instructions for people who know nothing? I don't think I even meet the standard of "dummy" in this case. I am so frustrated after spending over an hour on this that I am walking away and maybe later I will get it. If you have tips, please let me know. The file has been uploaded to a host and I simply want to put it right here on this blog entry so that people who wish to listen may click "play" and it will start. Honestly, it just didn't seem that hard when I started this. Thanks for your patience.
ETA: 9:46 PM and I finally got it uploaded and got the right code. My voice is *really* bad right now and my throat is sore but it's all good. I'll definitely try for another audio entry this month.
The good news is I have lots of days remaining to figure this out. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, here's the setlist, with thanks to Stan Goldstein:
1. Radio Nowhere
2. No Surrender
3. Lonesome Day
4. Gypsy Biker
5. Magic
6. Reason To Believe
7. Night
8. She's The One
9. Living In The Future
10. The Promised Land
11. Your Own Worst Enemy
12. Incident on 57th Street
13. Working on the Highway
14. Devil's Arcade
15. The Rising
16. Last to Die
17. Long Walk Home
18. Badlands
Encores:
19. Girls In Their Summer Clothes
20. Thunder Road
21. Born to Run
22. Dancing in the Dark
23. American Land
Yes, lots of great ones there. And can I just say if I had ordered the encores from The Man himself I could not have chosen better. It was So exciting to see "Dancing" performed live. They didn't do it at the '99 show I was at so this was a beautiful bonus for me. More on it later -- I'm off to make a cup of tea now.
