Mt. Umunhum
Almost forgot -- we had snow in the area last week. Mt. Umunhum was snowy on Friday and some of the snow is still there.
I have been in South San Jose for 4 years now - and have NEVER seen snow on that Mt. Just goes to show how FREAKISHLY cold this winter has been for us crazy Californians.
What an odd name...does it mean something? Can you pronounce it for me?
Snowed here too. 'Course it was almost all gone but no...
(my mystery code word to post for today is "chuggiro." I will strive to work that into a conversation. We could play a heck of a game of Balderdash with those things!)

Cool. You have more snow that we do. :)
ReplyDeleteUmunhum is an Ohlone (native Americans originally in this area) word for hummingbird. At least that's what I heard.
ReplyDeleteUmunhum is pronounced "Umm-un-um".
