Tired and cranky...

I woke up at 4 this morning. Couldn't get back to sleep so I went into the family room, turned on the TV (CNN) and emptied the cabinet with the VHS tapes in it. We don't have that many, considering we have 3 kids, but we have a ton of Rescue Heroes ones that came with toys and some Veggie Tales (despite the Christianity thing, they DO teach good lessons and you won't find many kid videos that are funnier IMO).

So I pulled them all out, rewound them all, and put them in their proper cases or boxes. Took me about an hour and fifteen minutes.

I have cleaned my bedroom, the family room, the living room this morning. Dusted, vacuumed, etc. Rob made pancakes for the kids while I was sleeping (went back to bed at 7, slept 'til 9:30), so he cleaned the kitchen.

Left to do: bathrooms, sewing, finishing dresser, work on altered clipboards for teacher gifts, go to Evan's first ever baseball game, then Garrett's game. Tomorrow we'll assist in the boys' religious education classrooms. After that I hope to be motivated enough to get some more of this stuff done.

And call me crazy, but I made an appointment at Sears to have Spencer's 4-year pictures taken on Monday. I'm a glutton for punishment.

Speaking of Spence, I mentioned it briefly here before, but he is having a minor outpatient surgery on Wednesday. Just a mole removal- the one on his left cheekbone- but as he is going under general anesthesia I am getting nervous as the day approaches. Your good wishes would be much appreciated, and I will keep y'all posted (all 7 of you) LOL.

  1. Well, Jennifer, I couldn't be lazy after reading about all you got done. So I went out and started weeding the back yard. Not that anyone could tell.

I am inspired by your ability to accomplish things. I think it's because your youngest child is now 4. I am hopeful that when my youngest child turns four, I will have my sh** together half as well as you, and if I do, I will be a happy woman.

By the way...if I haven't gotten it done yet, will you come out here and help me turn my crap, er...CRAFT room into something that will allow me to get things done? That'd be cool!

Hugs as you prepare yourself for Spence's surgery. All will be well, but I'll say some extra prayers for you too!
