Denial is being eradicated ...

I haven't posted about this in a while because my denial is deep and wide. LOL We are moving from San Jose to Rochester, MN in July. The moving company has us on the schedule for packing on July 10. They will load the truck and leave July 11. We will stick around here for another day or two until I get the house cleaned good, then we'll leave. We are flying rather than driving. I really wanted to drive but with gas prices as high as they are we would come close to losing money (the company reimburses us). Plus we wanted to go to Mount Rushmore (aka "Face Mountain") in South Dakota and since they've made abortion illegal in the state I really don't want any of my tourism dollars to go there, it's best we fly and avoid the whole thing.

We are cleaning today -- deep cleaning and organizing, mostly the playroom and the boys' rooms. Rob is back there working, I have been cleaning at the other end of the house, and we will meet up in the family room sometime later today. My scrap table is last on the list but since it's out in the open I really need to get it cleaned up. I'm sure it will only be a few days until the landlord starts showing it to prospective renters and I want them to see that the house really is great (despite the fact that the neighbors are Christian fundamentalists who are annoying as hell and the landlord is Satan himself). Of course I won't be divulging those secrets. Let the poor suckers find out for themselves. Maybe they'll be fundamentalists too and they'll at least get along with the nieghbors (although there's no chance they'll get along with the landlord).
