My car was at the dealership Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday for some warranty repair work and a brake job. (Note to self: it is NOT good when your brakes start making noise while you're camping in the mountains. By the time you get OUT of the mountains, your brakes will be grinding so that it is painful for you to listen to and your rotors will be shot. This is not cheap.)
So, after 3 days without my beloved minivan, I am happy to have it back in my driveway.
We (the kids and I) went to a park yesterday and they played in the sand and the sprinkler/fountain thingie. They had fun. While we were there Vanessa called and invited us for an afternoon swim, so we went over there after lunch. That saved us. It was 101 degrees F. (That, according to the converter I checked, is 38 C. Is that possible?) Anyway, it was hot. Higher temps on the way for today and the weekend. That oughta make Evan's last baseball game a real joy.
Two of my three children are still in bed so I'm going to try to get a few things done in the last few minutes before they get up.
Ooooh, sorry. Boring blog entry today. Well what can you do? It's real life, after all.
Ciao.
Just found your blog by accident. Happy blogging!

We have been trying to escape the heat via water activities too. But today, I think we are going to try and stay indoors. The heat/smog factor is making me ill!
ReplyDeleteNothing sucks worse that not having your wheels. I am glad that the mini van is back.
ReplyDeleteYep, 101 F is 38 C. I only know that because my best friend just got sick with a 101 fever... while in Spain. Poor thing :(
ReplyDeleteAnyway Santa Cruz= one of my favorite places ever. Great vintage shopping! I so miss living in Cali!
