I'm laughing. Really.

So I posted my whiny rant yesterday about being sick.

I neglected to mention our adventure a week ago today with Evan, who had a funny growth on his chest. I discovered it right before Christmas, and it was about the size of the head of a pin. By Dec. 28, a week later, it was 3x that size and red and icky looking.

Off to the doc we went, where the doc removed a pyogenic granuloma, a benign growth that looks like a hemangioma. he did fine, the path results came back confirming that it was benign, and all is ok.

Until I got sick.

And last night, I was in bed spaced out on my codeine cough syrup when Spence came in, red-eyed and crying. He had matter in the corners of his eyes and was complaining that they were stinging.

Dr. Mom says: I think he has pinkeye.

We have a doctor appointment at 3 (the only one available all day, except in pediatrics, where the nurses are all bitchy and I refuse to take my kids).

Blech.

Here in California we OD on citris to keep the crap out of your chest in January! Seriously, get your hands on some tangerines, and lemonds and eat-drink them until your toes pucker. Also a FRESH pineapple-eatten in large quantities also is susposed to clean out your kidneys and liver and kick them into high gear to push out all of the refined sugars we've eaten over the last 2 months. So far-no cold/yuckies here. (fingers crossed!)

I really miss you and all of your rock bottom honesty. I was just thinking of you (again) today as I'm pissy about all of the Xmas crap that I have to take down and store away so my house in back in order. Where are all of my little elves that were so happy to scatter the crap all over the house in the first place??? (at school and work!) I'm glad to know that I have a twisted counterpartner in this world!
I've taken to liking Thanksgiving the best this year: Lots of good food, lot's of good left overs(read: no cooking for 2 more nights!) wine, pumpkin pie, no obligations to send cards or get anyone a useless gift and I don't have go to the mall !!!! and did I forget Pumpkin pie for breakfast!
I know that you will make it through this yuckie bronchitis thing fast-you have to your a devoted Mom, but look at this as a good excuse to lounge in your pj's all afternoon with a book and focus on you before the weekend hits!
Take care, I didn't send out cards because I was waiting for the house to sell to give out new address cards-the house closed on Friday, Dec.29th-THANK GOD! so you'll see something from me by snail mail soon.
    Cheers,
    Nicole G.

Mmmmmm...pineapple juice. Don't let Rob know!

Feel better, and odd as it is to say this, I hope Spence really does have pinkeye, the bacterial kind, so at least they can treat him!

  4. Look at it this way-- maybe this is the one time you will all be sick in 2007.

  5. When it rains, it pours, right?? L was in the ER on the 31st after four days of high fever, etc. and was diagnosed with bladder infection.

It's hard to BE sick and have to deal with sick kids too. Yuck.

If you are feeling well enough, I tagged you for a meme. Check my blog for the details.

    It's me again...."WHEN CAN YOU TELL IT'S A COMMENT FROM A C.A. PERSON?"
A: When they are so impatient that they hit the publish button multiple times so the thing appears quicker!

I should be chillin' now that I've got a view and fresh air, but some bad habits are hard to kick :-)
Forgive me please for cluttering up your blog, you should rest yourself and lay off on the housekeeping anyway.
    Take it easy.
