Ouch!

I know, I know -- pictures. I really *do* intend to get to it, but again I have issues.

Some of you know I have struggled with plantar fasciitis in the past. That's what I thought I had last Tuesday when I got up in the morning.

By Thursday evening, when the pain was almost unbearable and my right foot and ankle were noticeably swollen, I knew it was something more.

A trip to the doc on Friday led to a preliminary diagnosis of posterior tibial tendon rupture. (Good grief, I can't even find a link to that!) It appears my once very high arch has fallen now (and it can't get up!). It hurts.

I am in a giant black Darth Vader - looking thing that holds my ankle immobile (and weighs 20 pounds). I am back to using the lovely cane I got when I had my blood clot. And I am on 500 mg of Vicodin every 3 to 4 hours.

So I am not posting anything more. I am going to rest. I can't drive so I will be at my husband's mercy to get me to a podiatrist on Wednesday. Until then, I am basically in a holding pattern.

*Blech*.

How frustrating! What can they ultimately do for you?

Do you happen to feel like you're falling apart?
