My dad has decided to start a tradition of taking each grandchild on a special trip, just the two of them. It all began when he and Evan (my motorcycle, hot-rod, tool-crazy 10 year old) started talking about a motorcycle trip along the Mississippi River.
They will leave for 5 days and 4 nights in July. We have an itinerary for them, and we just need to map a route that will take them on the back highways and secondary roads instead of the interstates.
We are in the process of getting Evan geared up for the trip -- Grandma and Papa bought this for him last week.
He loves it.
Gosh when I see Evan's face I can't believe how much he has changed. When I think Evan I think "sweet chunky cheeked fat boy who outgrew his brother" from the beginning. What a cutie! And tell him I am a fellow Keen-a-holic. I just know the two of us will get along wonderfully when you come in a few weeks? months? :) :)
ReplyDeleteYeah for the Boys! These will be times that they will never forget. Bailey still talks about times she did things with my Mom. I hope your Dad takes each of them on the Ride of their Life!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great thing to do. Your boys will treasure those trips.
ReplyDeleteLove the Wild Child jacket.
Cute jacket! I agree with Cara, he's not the boy he used to be! Isn't it scary how you can almost see the face of the man in the boy??
ReplyDeleteLove that jacket. Evan will have so much fun!
ReplyDeletethat's awesome!
