Happy Thanksgiving!

I have the pumpkin pie in the oven, laundry done and folded (now to be put away .. the major challenge in my life...), and am ready to pick up kids and get ready for making tomorrow's Bubble Bread and Macy's Parade watching tradition.

On the menu for tomorrow:
turkey breast (can't do a whole bird ... dark meat... ewwww)
scalloped corn
baked sweet potatoes
Reuben dip and rye bread
Prima Donna cheese and crackers
roasted garlic and a baguette
veggie tray with dip
schloop (jellied cranberries, so named for the sound they make coming out of the can, and no, I won't apologize for loving that stuff, I know it creeps people out ... I just don't care)
our traditional olive cheese balls, but this year they will be stuffed with garlic-stuffed olives. yum.
Rachael Ray's Apple & Onions Stuffin' Muffins (mmmm... can't wait to try these)
pumpkin pie (not too much cinnamon, thankyouverymuch, and real heavy cream that I will whip into a delicious topping)

So we'll be eating well and loafing about for most of the day. I can't wait.

Have a wonderful day, everybody, and if you're reading this, well, I am grateful for YOU!

  1. I am grateful for you too, my friend. Have a wonderful day and let me know how the Rachel Ray muffins turn out. She has been one of my favorites for several years. I watched her on Oprah yesterday. Even Michael likes her. Happy, Happy Thanksgiving.
