Played Leo McGarry on The West Wing. Prior to that he was Tommy Mullaney on LA Law (when I first decided I adored him). Died of a heart attack in LA on Friday, Dec. 16, 2005.
My Spencer was named for 3 people: Lady Diana Spencer (Princess Di), actor Spencer Tracy, and John Spencer. I really thought this guy was awesome.
He would have been 59 today.
