Vacuum update ....

Well, we went to our house in Minnesota while we were there and found a plethora of dead Asian beetles (aka ladybugs) on the floors. They've invaded and they are overwhelming in the fall. Not good when your house is 55 degrees F and they die. Ewww.

So we broke down and went to Linens 'n' Things, where we purchased this bad boy:

The Dyson Ball. Picture Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor from Home Improvement saying, "Arrr, arrr, arrr, ARRRRRRRH!" and you'll have a pretty good image of my husband. The only thing that would have gotten him more excited is a vacuum with a Hemi.

And we went to World Market, which is new in Rochester but has been one of our favorite places in San Jose since we got here, and bought a dining set. It's this one, only in a warm reddish brown they call honey. Bought the table and four chairs in Rochester. Turns out that color is discontinued, so we had to scour the Bay Area for 2 more chairs and then run up to San Mateo to pick them up. It is a really nice set, although it is significantly smaller than my current dining table, which expands to almost 10 feet with all the leaves in it. Evan pointed out that I won't be able to fit as many scrapbook pages on the new table. LOL (I use it when I am doing a whole book ... keeps me organized).

So I have a couple of things to look forward to when we move back to Rochester. I hope it will make the transition a little easier. I am looking forward to it in so many ways, but it will still be hard to leave our life here in San Jose, especially my friends (well, them and the beach...)

Hey Teresa, since you're making drinks, Rob wants to know if you want the recipe for Skip-and-Go-Nakeds. Just askin'. LOL

  1. Yes, Rob, send the recipe!! I'll serve that right after the Pink Panty Pulldowns. Nice progression, eh??

If these are really drink recipes ('cause I think this may be an inside joke) I want them.
