This I know

I know that PTSD is real. I know that even though I am against this war I believe in our troops; in their integrity, in their ability, in their love for our country. The Veterans' Administration has a website with PTSD information and a guide to where to get help if you or someone you know is suffering with PTSD. I know that after they serve this country in whatever capacity they serve, they deserve to be taken care of. They deserve our respect, our gratitude, our help when we can offer it.

And Monica is asking all of us to help, too. Call or write your Senators and your Congressperson. If you need help finding their names and addresses, click here. Enter your ZIP code in the box on the left and it will give you the information you need. If you need more help, email me at jennifer.my3sons@gmail.com. This is important.

Monica links to a Playboy article that has some shocking information about a thank you note sent by President Bush. The thought of it makes me physically ill. And if you want more information about how our war heroes are being treated by our government, look at this week's Newsweek or Bob Woodruff's reports on ABC news, or check out the repercussions of the Washington Post's article exposing deplorable conditions at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

I know that YOU can make a difference in this world. I know that this issue is worth a fight. I know that we cannot let another generation of American soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines down. I know that we can do this together.

My heart breaks everyday for these men and women who are lost in the system. Having a father who died from Agent Orange after being in the Vietnam Conflict it makes me sick. Also to see that because my brother and I where born after him coming back that we are having effects from this agent orange. So what will happen to the next generation from the effect of this WAR. Anyone who reads this write, write, call and call your senator.
